MORE THAN YOU EVER WISH TO KNOW:
The Magic Clown performed his first trick at the age of 6 months when he discovered that by crying he could make his parents disappear.
In his early years his interests were beer and rugby. He gave that all up when he turned  five, and set his sights on becoming  a fireman,  bomb disposal expert and a circus trainer.(so he became a schoolteacher)
When they brought in Tomorrow's Schools, school-teaching became too dangerous, so for a time he was part-time teachers' college lecturer, speech therapist and special needs tutor; followed by author, actor, musician and craftworker; followed by the IRD. But as there are enough of those types of clowns out  there, he reasoned, it was time to get serious.
He became the first resident clown at the Expo Pavilion and became one of the first receipients(1992) of the QEII Award for performing arts.  He was three-term elected  president (1993-6) of the NZ Society of Magicians.
Among other awards have been the 1997 Funniest Children’s Routine Cup at the 23rd International Magic Convention at Napier and the1997 Mentalism Trophy.
Well before that, he had won the 1950 Takapuna Primary School Gala Day Fancy Dress Prize(and cried because he wanted to be 2nd - the gift was better), and the 1952 Anglican Church Picnic100yd Race for 7 year Olds(he wasn't Anglican but wandered by mistake into the wrong picnic)
A professional clown now for 12 years and considered one of the busiest and best in the country, he offers:

BIRTHDAY PARTY/CHRISTMAS SHOW:.
A 40 minute presentation combining comedy and magic. Lots of audience participation: nothing scary that would put off very little ones. Sophisticated magic that even fools adults. Includes animal balloons and lolly scramble. Own PA system, ensuring everyone can hear. No set-up time, the fun starts as soon as he enters the room.

STROLLING MAGIC:
Suitable for outdoor and indoor functions such as retail promotions, festivals, galas, street and corporate events. Animal balloon giveaways, magical tricks and illusions, card tricks, streetwork - all manner of things to provide atmosphere and to attract and hold the crowd.
